Xiao Sheng is a Ph. D. candidate in Art History at Arizona State University. Her concentration is the history of Chinese painting during the Ming and Qing dynasties and her research interest focuses on landscape painting in seventeenth-century China. Her dissertation topic is on the early Qing landscape painter Wang Hui from the perspective of his friendship with the literati-artist Yun Shouping.

Kristen Strange is a PhD candidate in Art History specializing in surrealist collecting and display practices, especially those involving Indigenous objects. Her research assesses selected major modern art collections in the United States, and considers how shifting paradigms in museum practices, postcolonial theory, and recent American Indian scholarship, impact the way we think about surrealist collecting methods and how they might be addressed in present-day collections. She is currently working on her dissertation, Modern Art Collections in the United States During and After Surrealism.

Amelia Miholca is a PhD candidate working on her dissertation about the Romanian-Jewish artists and their avant-garde magazines of the 1920s in relation to the historical avant-gardes, modernism, exile, stylistic hybridity, and print media. Miholca has presented at multiple conferences, such as at the 2018 College Art Association Conference in Los Angeles. In 2019, she was a semi-finalist for the Fulbright Grant to Romania.

Seulkee Kang is a second year PhD student and her research interests lie in modern and contemporary East Asian art with the focus on postwar art. She is also interested in interdisciplinary approaches which integrate and foster understanding of various disciplines and ideas.

Cortney Berg graduated with her Master's from ASU in 2020 and is currently pursuing a PhD at CUNY in New York. She focuses on images of women, usually from the medieval period, and especially rule-breakers and misfits.
